Success In Online Dating
This used to happen to me all the time when I finding dates on the internet. Here is the scenario. You have a great connection when you are exchanging emails. You think that the two of you have a lot in common. You have been texting each other back and forth for weeks, and when you two talk on the phone, the conversation lasts hours.
Everything seems like it is going well for the two of you, so you finally decide to meet your online date in person. Then when the two of you finally meet up, everything seems awkward. You both have butterflies in your stomach prior to meeting, and there is more than likely a reason for that. Something just doesn’t seem to click. The two of you go your separate ways, and never speak again, nor communicate through the online dating site anymore. Maybe you liked her still, and she didn’t like you when you met in person.
You try to call and message but don’t receive a reply. If this happens, the best thing that you can do is to just move on. There are plenty of other singles out there in the online dating world. There are many reasons that this happens. It is totally different communicating through computers and telephones than it is when you are face to face in reality.
So I have decided to write some tips, that will help you avoid selecting the wrong person to meet up in person.
Post a Recent Full Body Profile Picture
I have said it a million times and stressed the importance of posting full body, recent pictures of yourself on your online dating profile. If the person you meet up with in person looks nothing like they do now, then that is a recipe for disaster as soon as you meet your online date in person. If the person that you are talking too doesn’t have any full body photos up on their online dating profile, then ask to see one. You are going to save yourself loads of trouble by doing this and getting it out of the way prior to meeting up in person.
Meet Your Online Date in Person Sooner - Not Later
Don’t wait too long to meet up in person. Sure you could be building a stronger online connection if you wait, but you are going to be more disappointed in the long run when it finally comes that time to meet up face to face. If you are chatting with a potential match for more than two weeks and haven’t met in person yet, it’s time to hang it up and move on. Trust me.
Get Rid of Those Little Lies
Keep your profile clean. Don’t lie about your height (guys) and never lie about your weight (women). You may not get as much attention from online daters by doing this, but online dating is supposed to help with the matchmaking process, this is not a popularity contest.
Follow these simple steps and it should help you when it comes time to finally meet your online date in person.
