For some people break-ups can feel like a knife slowly slicing down the middle of your heart, and agonizing pain of sorrow that just won’t seem to go away. You just can’t believe that you got dumped by the person that you thought you were going to spend the rest of your life with. Believe me, I know how this feels and I have been there several times.
Getting over your ex can be difficult, but trust me, nothing heals a broken heart like time does, and with that being said, here are some other tips that will allow that process to move on even faster, so you can get back on your feet and quit pouting about that person that broke your heart.
1. 1. Quit Stalking There Facebook Page – Stop it, it’s just going to make things worse. Don’t worry about who they are talking too, or even if they hooked up with someone right away. If they did, you could probably find out through facebook. The best way to remedy this would be to simply delete them as a friend, if they didn’t already delete you as a friend. If you don’t, you may get to the point where you are forgetting about your ex, and then BOOM. They update their wall with something that you don’t like, or something that brings back some painful memories, just make it easy on yourself and delete them from you friends list. While you are at it, you might want to delete all of the pictures of the two of you up on facebook as well. Good idea.
2. 2. Forget Those How to Get Your Ex-Back Books – Because if you don’t, then you are still in denial of the break up. And here’s another helpful hint…THEY DON’T WORK! Your ex broke up with you for a reason. Maybe you two just weren’t right for each other. People have a common behavior about themselves, and also, people rarely change their ways for good or worse. So stop searching for ways to get your ex back!
3. 3. Start Dating Again – Sign up for a free online dating site, heck, sign up for a paid one too while you’re at it. The more the merrier, the more profiles you make, the better chances you have of meeting someone. Go out to the bar and converse with other people. Flirt with the bartender, the waitress, even if you don’t get his or her digits it should be enough to get your mind off of your ex for a little while. You will find out that the easiest way to get over someone is to get under someone new.
These are just a few ideas that will help you get over your ex. Really pay attention to number 3. The quicker you can get out on the dating scene again and start mingling with other people the better off you’re going to be. Anyone else have any suggestions on how they got over their ex?
